The award winning North Port High School Band is asking for your support. The band program at North Port High School is recognized as one of the finest musical programs in Florida, having won numerous competitions, awards, and honors. The North Port High School Alliance Drum and Bugle corps placed 9th in 2008 at the State Florida Bandmasters Association Marching Band competition. The Band Programs have received superior ratings consistently for the past several school years. These include Jazz Band, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, as well as the Alliance Drum and Bugle Corps. NPHS also hosts the “Music on the Move” (MOTM) marching competition each year. This is a premier event attended by bands from all over Florida.
At North Port High School, the Band Program is truly a ‘family’. Students continually put forth a group effort and focus on completing goals and surpassing expectations at every rehearsal and performance. With continued growth, the North Port High School band program now includes over 200 students, making it one of the largest programs in Southwest Florida. With that amount of student participation, the operating expense for the NPHS band is over $80,000 a year! Students’ assessments are a very small portion of the income that covers expenses along with very limited funding from the school. As the years pass, it has become increasingly difficult for the band program to afford simple things that would allow the organization to musically mature.
Please take the time to select a sponsorship level to help support the band program at North Port High School. With your help, the NPHS band program can reach higher levels of education and performance as we continue to grow in the future. By doing so, you will be helping to provide young people with musical opportunities to engage their minds, hearts, and bodies.
As a Sponsor you will be recognized as a special partner throughout the year. Your donation is completely tax deductible and we will provide a certificate for your records.
The North Port High School Band Program strives to build Partnerships with businesses throughout North Port and the surrounding area. Many businesses, alumni, family, and friends partner with the North Port High School Bands to make our program a success. These partnerships provide benefits to both parties: the band gets much needed funding while the businesses are promoted at various levels. 100% of the proceeds go towards helping the band purchase uniforms and equipment, travel to competitions, provide dues scholarships to students, and much more. Plus, businesses can claim donations as a tax deduction. The business partners also gain the goodwill and devotion of the band parents and friends.
