I also know people signed up the first year and played in our first random song show (Louie Louie and the Hey Song). You can list your name too.

Mark Scott and Jordan Eldridge are the only two original members from day 1!

Thts not entirely true. Tony call joined the first week or 2 after so he doesnt get counted.(which i think sucks) But Anthony Andres and myself were from day one at that first ever meeting in Glen Allen. So there are two or three charters left, but after this year, there will be no remaining Charter members left.

Yeah, kinda sucks i don't get counted as a charter. I didn't get that letter inviting me. Jake Hatfield told me about the second-or-so day of school.

Hope Gridley. i was there from day 1 and almost turned around and went home cuz i was the only one that had a legitamate amount of trumpet playing experiance! mr b. came up to me after the 3rd practice and said that i might want to stay at venice high. he told me it would be a major set back in my musical education. i still took on the challenge and i got awarded for it at senior awards night. i still miss u guys!!!

This is Mark, I don't know if you remember me or not though. I was the kid that played the trumpet really, really loud all the time lol! You even wrote in my yearbook to stop playing so loud! Haha!

Well, I'm glad you decided to stick around even though we were all, um, developing musicians! Hehe!

You should just randomly come down and visit us sometime! We miss you too!

Just so you know, I'm James Lovelace. I remember this year very well. And one of the things I remember most about it was when I walked in the room and I was asked which instrument I would play... given that I only knew percussion at the time... I pointed to the big horn thingy and said I'd play that. I didn't know how to play a brass instrument. But I guess I let my ego get ahead of me so I picked up the contra.


3 days is all it took me! I learned how to play it, how to care for my instrument, how to put soul into it. I marched and played that year! It was too bad I only got to do 2 years. I ended up messing up my back after the second year.

And don't forget about Bradley's #2, Scott Forsythe. If it weren't for him showing me the way... I don't know what would have happened. He became more than just a teacher that year. He was like family.
